Funnel Cake
Ingredients

1 ½ cup flour
·
¼ cup sugar
·
1 ½ tsp baking powder
·
½ tsp baking soda
·
¼ tsp salt
·
2 eggs
·
1 cup milk
·
1 tsp vanilla essence
·
¼ cup powdered sugar
·
Oil for frying
Method
·
Sift
flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt and keep aside
·
Beat eggs, milk, vanilla
and add to flour mixture and mix well
·
Heat oil in a large
saucepan
·
Slowly pour ¼ cup of the
batter in lattice pattern or jalebi style
·
Cook on each sides for
30 secs or until golden brown on both sides
·
Take out on a serving
dish and sprinkle powdered sugar.
Monkey Bread (Pinch me Cake)
Ingredients
·
3 (12 OZ) packets
refrigerated biscuit dough
·
1 cup white sugar
·
2 tsp ground cinnamon
·
½ cup margarine
·
1 cup brown sugar
·
½ cup chopped walnuts
(optional)
·
½ cup raisins
Method
·
Pre heat oven to 350
degrees
·
Grease bundt pan
·
Mix white sugar and
cinnamon powder in a plastic bag
·
Cut biscuit dough into
quarters, put them in the plastic bag
·
Mix
well until nicely coated with sugar
·
Arrange them in the
bottom of the pan and add nuts and raisins
·
In a saucepan melt
margarine with brown sugar over medium heat
·
Boil for a minute and
pour it on top of the arranged biscuit dough
·
Bake for 30 – 35 mins
and then let it cool for 10 mins
·
Turn onto a plate and do
not cut the bread, just pull apart and serve.
