TOFU
Tofu is also called the cheese of
Asia. It is highly nutritious Protein rich food made from the curds of
Soya bean milk. Regular intake of soya protein can help lower
Cholesterol level and most kinds of Tofu are enriched with calcium. It
is also a very good source of Iron.
Here are ways to enjoy Tofu in different ways:
• According to Kamini, we can make Tofu bhurjee just the way we make
Paneer bhurjee and egg bhurjee. Kamini also says Tofu can be used in
Lasagna instead of Ricotta cheese.
• Asha says, knead tofu with flour and make chappatis out of the dough.
• Razia says, tofu strips can be used in soups too.
• Tanvi says, Marinade tofu in yogurt, onion, ginger, garlic and some
spices ofcource and cook until yogurt dries without even adding oil.
This dish can be garnished with different colour bell peppers.
• Neharika says, we can stir fry tofu in little oil by adding lemon
juice, salt, pepper, dry cilantro, basil and parsley.
